California Storm is Sacramento’s premier women’s soccer club, competing in the USL W League and the Women’s Premier Soccer League.
The Davis Legacy Soccer Complex serves as the Storm’s matchday home, creating an accessible pathway for Sacramento-region players, Legacy families, alumni, and fans to experience high-level women’s soccer in Davis.
Founded in 1995 as the Sacramento Storm, the club has helped shape the women’s game in Northern California for decades.

Competing In USL W + WPSL
California Storm gives collegiate, post-collegiate, and aspiring professional players a serious platform in both the USL W League and WPSL.
USL W League
California Storm competes in the USL W League’s NorCal Division, giving players a high-level pre-professional summer platform with strong regional competition.
Women’s Premier Soccer League
The Storm also competes in the WPSL’s West Region, NorCal Conference — Sacramento Valley Division. The club debuted in the WPSL in 1998 and has won a league-record five WPSL titles.
Historic Player Pathway
California Storm’s player history includes NCAA standouts, former national team players, and globally recognized professionals, including Sissi, Brandi Chastain, Alex Morgan, Leslie Osborne, and Julie Foudy.
